What and who we are
We are a family of people from across the globe who have joined together in common purpose and vision.
This family is made up of organizations, churches, businesses, ministries, entrepreneurs and individuals who are dedicated to bringing the love of Jesus Christ to this world--whether it be to one heart, or to an entire nation or continent.
Organizationally, we are global in scope, relational in influence and covenantal in structure. We network and combine our God-given gifts, relationships and resources to accomplish our mission. Officially, we exist as a Christian, not-for-profit corporation. Financially, we depend on godly people--motivated by love and compassion--to give gifts of money, goods and time.
Love Aflame is designated as a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 corporation by the Internal Revenue Service. This status enables US citizens to receive tax credit on their annual income tax returns for donations give to our organization. In other countries besides the United States our status is similar to that of an NGO (non-government organization).
The vision for LA!W was birthed in the heart of Reverend Jim Pierce in the year 2000 while ministering in West Africa. LA!W was incorporated in 2002.
Since its inception, LA!W has grown into a family of over 100 affiliates (organizations, churches, ministers, businesses, schools, and ministries. These affiliations are based on relationship. Our initial 5 year goal of 200 affiliates by the end of 2007 is within reach as we watch our family grow month after month.
Mission Statement – Our main aim and purpose
Our motto, "Igniting the Nations with Christ's Love", speaks of our burning passion to demonstrate the love, mercy, justice and compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ to a lost, broken and hurting world. Therefore, our work encompasses both the spiritual and the practical.
Vision Statement – What we hope to accomplish
We are a people of vision. We have the attitude that, “If not us, who? If not now, when?” We acknowledge that God is using many groups around the world to accomplish his purposes. We want to be one of them.
We ultimately envision gathering and networking...
- CHURCH PLANTERS gathering people into congregations and developing communities of believers.
- BUILDERS & CONTRACTORS building large and small church facilites, clinics, orphanages, schools, etc.
- HEALTH PROFESSIONALS - Hospitals, health clinics and dental clinics established in developing nations.
- TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS establishing training centers in many nations preparing leaders and laborers
- ENGINEERS Water purification systems and wells/bore holes installed in areas where clean water is not available. Other engineering projects in cooperation with churches, governments & communities.
- AGRICULTURALISTS & FARMERS setting up various agriculture projects (such as co-op farms, plantations, groves, etc.) and teaching such skills to the indigenous peoples.
- CHRISTIAN LEADERS - Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers,
- SINGERS, MUSICIANS, WORSHIP LEADERS ministering wherever doors are open, accompanying preachers and Christian leaders.
- INTERNS trained through our Love Aflame! Interns program to fulfill the very roles listed here. Young people who are imprinted with this vision and give themselves to its fulfillment.
- INVESTORS who can recognize sound investments and who can help to finance our work while still seeing a return on their investment.
- BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS who will operate their business with an understanding of Kingdom economics; people who can conduct training seminars, workshops and give individual counsel to their peers in developing nations.
- BROADCAST PROFESSIONALS - especially engineers who can help to establish broadcast facilites in developing nations.
Utilizing the human resources listed above, we ultimately envision doing the following:
- Establishing churches around the world on every continent.
- Working with and ministering to government leaders in nations around the world.
- City-wide gospel events in the US and abroad.
- Business partnerships dedicated to furthering the work of Love Aflame! Worldwide.
- Publishing of books, curriculums, booklets, manuals, pamphlets, tracts and articles.
- Seminars led by multi-faceted ministry teams.
- Radio, Television & Video - US and abroad.
Radio: AM, FM, Short wave, World Band.
TV: UHF, VHF, Cable and Satellite.
- Missions - families and teams, long-term & short-term.
- Humanitarian efforts - medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, medical missions, farming projects, co-ops and industry.
- Music - Recordings of original music.
- Revivals, street evangelism, tent meetings.
- All the land, buildings, equipment, vehicles and supplies necessary to accomplish all of the above.
